The FWCC is fostered through Frenji Sports in support of cultural and community enrichment. The Frankie williams Classic was established in 2007 by Frenji Sports in honor of Frankie Williams, know as (Big Dank) who passed away in June of 2006. Frankie played a major role for Frenji grassroots basketbal program and the Theodore D. Young Community Center athletic programs, developing youth through the love of basketball. Other than being a great coach, he was a positive role model, and mentor in Greenburgh, NY and surrounding Westchester County, NY communities.
Overall, the FWCC was formed to showcase annually high level division 1 high school prospects from state-to-state designed to give underpriviledged student-athletes in Greenburgh, NY and throughout Westchester County the opportunity to watch and admire elite high school ballers up close and personal at the Theodore D. Young Community Center, the place Frankie grew up.
Additionally, Frenji Sports in association with TDYCC, the FWCC provide practical skills in preparation for life beyond basketball. The ultimate goal and aim, is to make a difference, giving today's youth an outlet for success and communities to thrive.
